hello!

Hi, welcome to my website!

I’m Katie, a 20-something disability campaigner, journalist and broadcaster based in London, UK.

I am a wheelchair user and you may sometimes see me on TV or radio talking about accessibility, disabled rights, diversity & inclusion, among other things!

Campaigning.

I’m a disability campaigner with extensive experience highlighting the daily barriers facing disabled people. Often to be found going viral on Twitter after being left on a train, I’ve worked with several Disabled People's Organisations in communications and campaigns, I’m a member of the Campaign for Level Boarding, and I’m currently the Campaigns lead at Transport For All.

Press.

I’m a regular media commentator on issues of accessibility, particularly transport and social barriers. I can keep my cool on live TV but can’t promise to remember to brush my hair beforehand. I also love being a guest on podcasts or radio discussions. Get in touch if you’d like to book me to speak about something!

Podcasts + videos.

I have a background in journalism, having trained up in all things radio on the BBC’s Production Trainee Scheme, before working on programmes across Radio 4 and the World Service and freelancing for indies. Tasked with digging for stories, I’ve reported on everything from the first wheelchair backflip to the anxieties of a forensic pathologist. I also make videos, and have just dipped my toe into the world of Youtube…
